The fall semester is well underway for college students, and guess what: Michelle Williams is one of them. The 47-year-old singer announced on Instagram that she is officially a sophomore at Regent University, a private \u201cpremier Christian\u201d school in Virginia Beach. She\u2019s studying psychology \u2014 because, in her words, \u201cy\u2019all need help!\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams studied criminal justice at Illinois State University in the \u201990s after graduating from high school but dropped out after a couple of years to pursue music (she was a member of Destiny\u2019s Child by early 2000). Now that she\u2019s back to the books, Williams said she hesitated to share her studies publicly out of a fear of not graduating; she hadn\u2019t even told her family and friends. In true \u201cSurvivor\u201d spirit, though, she is committed to seeing it through. \u201cI\u2019m going to finish and I\u2019m going to finish strong,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n

In the top comments is her fellow Destiny\u2019s Child member Kelly Rowland, who offered a supportive \u201cThis is YOUR TIME! \ud83e\udd79\ud83e\udd70\u2665\ufe0f\u201d<\/p>\n

Williams is also throwing it back with her school supplies. She posted a photo of a splatter-paint binder she said is \u201cessential\u201d for her studies: \u201cI know everything is digital nowadays but\u2026\u2026 gimme my binder!\ud83d\ude02\u201d Little does she know, analog is trending.<\/p>\n
