(Image Credit: Tour de Rock)<\/p>\n<p>By Alex Rawnsley<\/p>\n<p>major fundraiser<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\tSep 24, 2026 | 11:05 AM\n\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>PARKSVILLE \u2014 A 1,200 kilometre journey down Vancouver Island is about to wind its way into Oceanside.<\/p>\n<p>The Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock will make its way from Courtenay to Qualicum Beach and Parksville on Thursday, Sept. 24, day six of their 14-day ride to Victoria in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.<\/p>\n<p>Mid-Island rider and Nanaimo RCMP Cst. Josh Waltman said even in the Tour\u2019s opening few days, the experience has been so much more than what he anticipated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlong the way we\u2019ve been to some of these smaller towns in the north, places I would have probably never, ever been if it wasn\u2019t for Tour.
