Hundreds of properties on three pages are listed for Surrey\u2019s annual tax sale, 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 28. <\/p>\n
Under Section 645 of the Local Government Act, properties with delinquent taxes are subject to sale unless the taxes, with interest, are paid before sale time.<\/p>\n
The auction happens once a year at Surrey City Hall council chambers, but few, if any, properties make it to sale because owners usually rush to pay the taxes before then.<\/p>\n
One property listed is 10883 Larson Road, for sale on realtor.ca<\/a> for $1.9 million. Annual property taxes are $20,723.54, the website says. <\/p>\n Check the full list of properties on surrey.ca<\/a> under Public Notices.<\/p>\n This section of the city\u2019s website also lists permissive property tax exemptions<\/a> \u2014 mostly churches, shelters and nonprofit spaces.
