Boston, MA. – UMBC freshman forward Brooke Clagett was named the America East Women’s Soccer Co-Rookie of the Week, announced on Monday by the league office.

In a key America East Conference matchup at a rain-soaked Retriever Soccer Park on Sunday, Clagett scored the equalizer early in the second half to help propel the Retrievers to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the visiting New Hampshire Wildcats.

UMBC drew even nine minutes into the second half as Clagett made a tremendous individual play along the right endline after a give-and-go with sophomore midfielder Delainey Proctor. Clagett is second in the America East Conference with five goals, including a league-best three game-winners. She was named the league’s Offensive and Rookie of the Week on August 17.
