The Oshawa Centre temporarily closed Monday due to an unexpected issue.<\/p>\n

The centre described the problem as a \u201cwater-related issue\u201d on Monday morning, which closed the entire mall.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as our team works to resolve the issue safely and as quickly as possible,\u201d the mall said on social media.<\/p>\n

The mall didn\u2019t provide further details on the issue.<\/p>\n

A photo posted on Reddit<\/a> showed water flowing out of a fire hydrant in the parking lot opposite the Dollarama.<\/p>\n

People speculated that it was a water main issue. Others said the mall had no water.<\/p>\n

When shoppers arrived on Monday, a sign was posted on the doors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were asking everyone to leave,\u201d one person said on Reddit.<\/a><\/p>\n

Oshawa Centre officials said they would post updates on social media.<\/p>\n
