Lime Garden<\/a> have dropped the yearning new single \u2018Moving Target\u2019, ahead of their headline tour kicking off later this week.<\/p>\n

The new single comes on the heels of the Brighton four-piece dropping their critically acclaimed sophomore album \u2018Maybe Not Tonight<\/a>\u2019 earlier this year \u2013 which was the follow-up to 2024\u2019s debut \u2018One More Thing<\/a>\u2019.<\/p>\n

Following a whirlwind summer, Chloe Howard, Leila Deeley, Annabel Whittle and Tippi Morgan are back with the new standalone single, which follows the ups and downs of falling in love.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2019Moving Target\u2019 is about the feeling of falling in love even when you know it\u2019s not going to work out,\u201d singer Chloe Haward said. \u201cIt\u2019s rare to find people you are magnetically drawn to, but when you do \u2013 just dive in and brace yourself for whatever happens. Heartbreak is always worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The track is produced alongside album producer Charlie Andrew (Wolf Alice<\/a>, Alt-J<\/a>), and comes with a tongue-in-cheek video that features poet and spoken-word performer Antony Szmierek<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It also arrives just before the band kick off their 2026 UK tour dates<\/a> in Bristol this Friday (October 2). Shows continue throughout the month with further stops in Oxford, Cambridge, Leeds, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Manchester and more.<\/p>\n

A penultimate stop is scheduled for the Castle & Falcon in Birmingham on October 20, and this is followed by a final gig at Electric Brixton in London the next night (21). Visit here<\/a> for tickets.<\/p>\n

Speaking to NME about their sophomore album<\/a>, Chloe Howard explained that the record was about surviving your early 20s, body positivity and measuring expectations. \u201cIt\u2019s about accepting the consequences of those choices, but making this album has made me learn to embrace living a bit more,\u201d she said. \u201cEnjoy the moment \u2013 what will be, will be.\u201d<\/p>\n

She continued: \u201cIt was important to show the realistic side of self-destructive fun behaviour. We have a lot of fun and go out a lot, but of course there are some downsides to that. It was fun to play on both sides.\u201d<\/p>\n
