New York Knicks guard Josh Hart is going to continue playing with his finger wrapped.

Because his only other option is having a career-ending surgery.

Hart took to social media Tuesday and responded to an image of him practicing with his finger taped by revealing the only surgery that would fix his injury would be a joint replacement that ended his career:

“So it will be wrapped until I retire,” he said.

The wrap didn’t appear to limit him last season, as he connected on 41.3 percent of his three-point attempts while averaging 12 points per game. It was a drastic improvement from the 2024-25 campaign when he hit 33.3 percent of his triples.

Hart did far more than just hit three-pointers, though, as he was the role player who did a little bit of everything for the Knicks on the way to the championship.

He also averaged 7.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game while assuming more of the defensive responsibilities so Jalen Brunson could lead the way on the offensive side.

And Hart will forever be a Knicks legend as a key part of the team that won the franchise’s first championship since 1973. He scored in double figures in two of the last three NBA Finals games against the San Antonio Spurs and also exploded for 26 points in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

If the Knicks are going to defend their crown, they will need Hart on the floor and impacting the game in a number of ways just like he did last season.

So he will not undergo the joint replacement surgery that would have otherwise ended his career.

New York Knicks guard Josh Hart is going to continue playing with his finger wrapped.
