<\/p>\n LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven women’s soccer team scored twice in the first half to erase an early deficit and take down visiting Clarion, 2-1, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West battle on Wednesday night at Hubert Jack Stadium.
\n\u00a0
\nWith the win, Lock Haven (6-4-1 overall) remains unbeaten at home and picked up three points in the conference standings, where they improved to 5-3-1. Clarion falls to 4-4-2 overall and 3-4-2 in the PSAC West. The Haven also secured the season sweep against the Eagles.
\n\u00a0
\nClarion opened the scoring in just the fourth minute of action to jump out in front 1-0.
\n\u00a0
\nHowever, Lock Haven answered with goals in the 12th and 21st minute to take a 2-1 lead, an advantage they would never relinquish.
\n\u00a0
\nMaci Shaffer<\/a> and Lily O’Brien<\/a> found the back of the net for the Bald Eagles, off a pair of helpers from Colleen Lloyd<\/a>, while Shaffer assisted in the second goal to notch her third point of the match.
\n\u00a0
\nClarion had a breakaway opportunity to even the score with eight minutes remaining, but Elizabeth Wolfe<\/a> made a pitcher-perfect slide tackle to eliminate the chance for the Eagles.
\n\u00a0
\nAfter the first-half score, reigning PSAC West Defensive Athlete of the Week Devon Mason<\/a> was perfect in net, while making four saves, to help secure the Lock Haven victory.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Haven led the contest in total shots (12-6), shots on target (7-5) and corners (6-1). O’Brien, Shaffer and Bryn Constanzer<\/a> all finished with two shots on goal.
\n\u00a0
\nNext up for The Haven:
\nThe Bald Eagles remain home and will host Seton Hill on Saturday, Oct. 3 (7 p.m.) in a PSAC West match as part of Lock Haven’s 2026 Homecoming Weekend.
