He is dealing with an injury to his throwing hand, which kept him out of practice on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>The native of Buffalo, N.Y. has led the Argonauts to a 9-6 record this season, helping them <a href=\"https:\/\/3downnation.com\/2026\/09\/19\/toronto-argonauts-clinch-home-playoff-game-with-win-over-elks\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">clinch a home playoff game<\/a>. He has completed 70.9 percent of his passes for 5,067 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions over 15 starts.<\/p>\n<p>The 32-year-old has also rushed 29 times for 183 yards and three scores. He has won two Grey Cups and was named the CFL\u2019s Most Outstanding Player in 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Toronto\u2019s backup quarterback is Nick Arbuckle. The soon-to-be 33-year-old filled in for Kelly in the 111th Grey Cup and was named the game\u2019s Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Boatmen to a 41-24 win over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver.<\/p>\n<p>Arbuckle played 15 regular-season games in 2025 while Kelly was out due to injury and completed 72.4 percent of his passes for 4,370 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 15 interceptions.<\/p>\n<p>The Toronto Argonauts (9-6) will host the B.C. Lions (8-6) on Saturday, October 3 with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 p.m. EDT. The Lions are coming off a win over Saskatchewan that launched them to second place in the West Division, while the Argonauts extended their winning streak to four games with a victory over Winnipeg.<\/p>\n<p>The game will be broadcast on TSN, CTV, and Crave in Canada and CFL+ internationally.
