Ghanaian singer Akwaboah has clapped back at critics after being dragged online for an “odd” picture he recently shared. <\/p>\n

On August 22, 2025, Akwaboah posted a picture of himself on social media, looking bizarre in a loose fitted outfit. <\/p>\n

The singer, who has already been a topic of discussion due to his rapid weight loss and ‘sickly\u2019 appearance, which has raised major concern, posed for the camera in a way that appeared to deliberately further fuel the speculation. <\/p>\n

I woke up to people trolling me and my marriage over my tired face – Akwaboah laments<\/a><\/p>\n

As expected, netizens did not hold back. Many online users have been circulating the post and leaving a barrage of negative comments. <\/p>\n

Initially, Akwaboah responded by saying he intentionally uploaded the picture to attract attention ahead of promoting his upcoming project. <\/p>\n

However, as the backlash intensified, Akwaboah addressed the criticism more directly in a video sighted by GhanaWeb on August 23, 2025. <\/p>\n

\u201cLook at how I am trending, you people love negativity too much. You guys refused to talk about the positive ones, but look at how you spread this particular picture. You guys are witches,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

Regarding his deliberate decision to post the picture online to draw attention to his yet-to-be-released single titled \u201cObinim,\u201d Akwaboah stated.<\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t getting credit \u2013 Akwaboah opens up on why he stopped writing music for others<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cGhanaians should wake up, my Obinim song will be released soon. I felt like it\u2019s been a while since I heard from Ghanaians, so I decided to share an odd picture of myself and afterwards see the way I am trending.\u201d<\/p>\n
