Next week on Coronation Street, there’s a shock shooting incident at the Platt house<\/a> as Jodie’s story finally comes to a head.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Kit finally tells Lisa the truth<\/a> about his illness, and Christina struggles following the revelations about her late daughter Rachel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

1. Doug is taken away thanks to Jodie\"doug,<\/p>\n

Doug struggles with paranoia after Jodie secretly switched his anti-psychotic medication with ordinary painkillers<\/a>. He swipes the toaster and the biscuit tin from the Platt kitchen, much to the concern of the family.<\/p>\n

Jodie soon phones Doug’s doctor and makes out that he’s a danger to the family. After an assessment from the mental health team, it’s agreed that Doug should be taken away for treatment. Before Doug goes, he warns Shona to watch her back around Jodie…<\/p>\n

2. Bethany makes a shocking discovery\"bethany<\/p>\n

Bethany is sympathetic as Shona opens up about her mental health, explaining that she’s worried because she seems to be hearing baby Harper crying<\/a> when she isn’t there.<\/p>\n

Later, Bethany catches Jodie red-handed after her recent scheming, but Jodie unleashes a shock plan to keep her quiet!<\/p>\n

3. Shona finally gets suspicious\"lily<\/p>\n

As the week continues, Shona hears the crying again but realises that it sounds like a recording rather than the real thing. She frantically searches around the house, looking for proof that someone is messing with her.<\/p>\n

Later, there’s drama during Shona’s birthday party at the Bistro as Lily’s phone is plugged into the docking station and the sound of Harper crying fills the room. Shona angrily accuses Lily of being the one who recorded the audio to make her believe she was losing her mind.<\/p>\n

4. Lily protests her innocence\"david<\/p>\n

Facing accusations from all directions, Lily insists that she has no idea how the recording ended up on her phone.<\/p>\n

She flees from the party, but does she know anything about Jodie’s guilt?<\/p>\n

5. Shona and Jodie’s showdown has a shocking outcome\"shona<\/p>\n

As the fallout continues, Shona confronts Jodie at the Platt house and their relationship finally hits breaking point. Accusations fly, secrets are exposed and someone is pushed to their limits as a weapon is drawn.<\/p>\n

The altercation ends with a gunshot ringing out, and one person lies fighting for their life\u2026<\/p>\n

6. Emergency services arrive at the Platt house\"asha<\/p>\n

A horrified David calls an ambulance, announcing that someone has been shot.<\/p>\n

Paramedics arrive on the scene and Lisa turns up to investigate. Will David be able to shed any light on what happened?<\/p>\n

7. Kit is finally honest with Lisa\"kit<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

In Kit’s latest medical appointment, he’s reminded that he won’t be fit for work when his chemotherapy begins and should tell his boss what’s going on.<\/p>\n

When Kit returns to work, Lisa is cold towards him as she believes that he’s been shirking his duties with a number of recent sick days. Kit finally explains that he’s been diagnosed with cancer<\/a>, which prompts a shaken Lisa to promise that she’ll support him in any way she can.<\/p>\n

8. Christina crosses the line with Lucy\"christina,<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Christina wants to start playing a role in Lucy’s life, but Sally is livid when she spots her foster daughter skiving school to spend time with Christina in the caf\u00e9.<\/p>\n

After sending Lucy off, Sally has a quiet word with Christina and promises to speak to social services about the situation. She urges Christina to keep her distance in the meantime, as Lucy is a vulnerable child.<\/p>\n

9. George’s surprise gesture\"george<\/p>\n

George worries about Christina’s state of mind when she disappears from the undertakers with Rachel’s ashes. He finds her on the swings at the precinct, clutching the urn.<\/p>\n

After promising Christina that they’ll find a way to honour her late daughter, caring George presents her with a photo frame containing two pictures \u2013 one of Daisy, one of Rachel.<\/p>\n

10. Marco is accused of another crime\"summer<\/p>\n

Summer is shocked when she receives a call to tell her that Marco has been involved in a car accident. <\/p>\n

In A&E, PC Jess Heywood lets Summer know that Marco was involved in a crash after acting as a getaway driver. In light of his past history, Marco is denied bail<\/a> \u2013 but Summer is irritated when Alya, Asha and Todd all reckon she’s better off without him.<\/p>\n

Ignoring their advice, Summer decides to pay Marco a visit\u2026<\/p>\n

11. Sam steals from Idris\"sam<\/p>\n

Leanne tells Sam that she wants to prove how much she trusts him, so she gives him a job at Speed Daal.<\/p>\n

Sam still seems distracted by his cryptocurrency ambitions, as he spots Idris’s credit card lying on a table and decides to steal it!<\/p>\n

12. Idris catches Sam in the act\"sam<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Sam prepares himself to enter Idris’s card details into the crypto app, but Idris suddenly spots him<\/a> and intervenes. He’s forced to explain that he was hoping to make enough money to pay Nick back.<\/p>\n

After snatching his bank card back, will Idris tell Leanne and Nick what happened?<\/p>\n

13. Kevin and Ronnie fear the worst\"kevin<\/p>\n

ITV<\/p>\n

Kevin and Ronnie compare notes<\/a> after the shooting at No.8.<\/p>\n

They wonder if the incident could be connected to Fiona’s gun, which was never found following the incident at the garage.<\/p>\n
