\n\tKelly Clarkson has shared her admittedly \u201ccontroversial\u201d opinion<\/a> on artificial intelligence, saying she thinks it can do \u201camazing things\u201d but shouldn\u2019t be able to create anything that competes with humans, particularly on music charts.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pop star shared her feelings about the technology during an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast, saying she \u201cloves AI\u201d but has issues with how it works in the music space.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI love AI. Controversial, I don\u2019t care,\u201d she said. \u201cHere\u2019s the thing, I love AI. There are very amazing things with AI that I\u2019m obsessed with. But also, and I\u2019m very into it artistically too, I have fun with it just like everybody else does. But when you see AI artists competing on a chart with humans, I have an issue. I think there should be a separate chart.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tClarkson continued by stating that AI is \u201cwelcome to the table,\u201d and that it\u2019s \u201creally cool and creative what we\u2019re going to create with AI musically.\u201d \u201cPeople who maybe can\u2019t do certain things will be able to do it now and I think it\u2019s a fun field to play in,\u201d she said. \u201cBut I don\u2019t think they should be competing with humans. It\u2019s basically like having Olympics and then you\u2019re having robots compete with humans, well who\u2019s going to throw it further? Oh, I wonder. So I\u2019m down with it and I think it\u2019s a very interesting thing and what we\u2019re going to do with it is going to be fun, but I do not think they should be competing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tShe went on to praise how AI is being used beyond music but that there should be limitations to the technology. \u201cHere\u2019s the thing. It\u2019s not going anywhere,\u201d she said. \u201cI think it is interesting and there\u2019s so many amazing scientific things that are happening. I don\u2019t think it\u2019s going anywhere but I think you have to be able to differentiate\u2026 We can\u2019t lose human. We can\u2019t lose what that is.
