When the Phillies acquired closer Jhoan Duran at the trade deadline, they also landed a distinctive walk-out routine<\/a> that has quickly become a fan favorite. <\/p>\n

Three of Duran\u2019s six saves with the Phillies have happened in the evening at Citizens Bank Park, and each has been electric. <\/p>\n

The lights go dark as he leaves the bullpen. Fans wave their phone flashlights in the air. A remix of \u201cEl Incomprendido\u201d by Farruko and \u201cHot\u201d by Pitbull and Daddy Yankee booms through the stadium\u2019s sound system. Screens show a giant tarantula, a nod to his \u201cDurantula\u201d nickname.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s maybe one of the best entrances that I\u2019ve seen for a pitcher coming into a game to close it out,\u201d Ranger Su\u00e1rez told reporters.<\/a> <\/p>\n

Fans watching Tuesday\u2019s game on NBC Sports Philadelphia didn\u2019t get the experience. Instead, the network showed highlights of Duran\u2019s entrance obscured by ads placed on the screen, drawing complaints from fans and Philly sports figures alike.<\/a><\/p>\n

Now, they\u2019re switching gears. <\/p>\n

NBC Sports Philadelphia has figured out a solution, and plans to show Duran\u2019s full walk-up routine for evening home games live for the rest of the season. That begins Friday, when the Phillies kick off a three-game series at The Bank against the Washington Nationals. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve heard from passionate Phillies fans across the region,\u201d the network acknowledged in a statement, noting fans would now \u201cget to experience this phenomenon live and in its entirety.\u201d <\/p>\n

It\u2019s unclear what NBC Sports Philadelphia\u2019s solution is, though it likely means shifting around ad inventory and tinkering with the timing of breaks to guarantee a short block of time where they can show Duran\u2019s entrance. The network didn\u2019t elaborate.<\/p>\n

Cole Hamels returns to the booth<\/p>\n

\u201cHollywood\u201d is back this weekend. <\/p>\n

Former Phillies pitcher turned curious broadcaster Cole Hamels returns to the booth Sunday afternoon alongside Tom McCarthy and fellow analyst Ruben Amaro Jr.<\/a><\/p>\n

Hamels has called a handful of games for the Phillies this season<\/a>, most recently during alumni weekend on Aug. 2. The Phillies lost that game 7-5<\/a> to the Detroit Tigers, but Hamels was impressed with Duran\u2019s save the night before. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s electric,\u201d Hamels said. \u201cOne of the biggest things I really like about him is he has a 65% ground ball rate, and the Phillies bullpen has only had about 34%.\u201d <\/p>\n

Amaro, the former Phillies general manager, will also be in the booth for Saturday\u2019s game, while McCarthy will be joined Friday by Ben Davis.<\/p>\n
