{"id":917744,"date":"2026-10-02T10:54:17","date_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:54:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/917744\/"},"modified":"2026-10-02T10:54:17","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:54:17","slug":"ebola-scare-in-montreals-chum-ends-after-patient-cleared","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/917744\/","title":{"rendered":"Ebola scare in Montreal&#8217;s CHUM ends after patient cleared"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A patient who was being assessed at a Montreal hospital over concerns about a possible Ebola infection has been taken out of isolation after the risk was ruled out.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe CHUM (the University of Montreal Hospital Centre) has confirmed that the patient\u2019s isolation, in connection with Ebola, has been lifted,\u201d said Ellen Caracas, a senior media relations adviser for the hospital. \u201cConsequently, the Ebola protocols will not be activated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Caracas had earlier said precautionary measures had affected some ambulance arrivals while the patient was being assessed.
