MERION STATION, Pa. \/ DAVIDSON, N.C. \u2013\u00a0The Saint Joseph’s men’s tennis team opened its home invitational tournament on Friday, while two Hawks competed at the Atlantic 10 Conference Masters event at Davidson.

\nThree Hawk duos got their weekends underway in the doubles flights of the SJU Invitational, falling to pairs from St. John’s, Temple, and Villanova.
\n\u00a0
\nIn the Black singles flight, Stefan Brajovic<\/a> was a straight-sets winner over EJ Roedl of Villanova to advance to the quarterfinals.\u00a0 Meanwhile, in the White singles flight, Hector Fullone<\/a> advanced to the semifinals via a walkover and will play for a spot in the final on Saturday.

\nAt the Conference Masters tournament, Oscar Baumgartner<\/a> and Ernesto Ruy<\/a> fell in their singles tilts after dropping their doubles match in a tiebreaker.
