Drives The Common Man – Swing Set

WATCH | Swing Set:

2026 marks 10 years since the debut of the animated short film The Secret Path, featuring a soundtrack by Gord Downie. A concert is planned this month in Toronto to mark the anniversary. A swath of Indigenous artists are performing their reprised versions of songs from The Secret Path, including London’s Drives The Common Man. The local artist’s version of Swing Set is calm, earnest and begs reflection. Drives The Common Man’s take on Swing Set is stripped down to just guitar and vocals, making for a relaxing, but pensive listen.

Bahamas – The Bridge

WATCH | The Bridge:

Bahamas is performing in London Sunday night with Boy Golden. London Morning played the Bahamas’ song The Bridge earlier this week. This track is chill yet still keeps a beat you can get into. The Bridge has a wonderful flute part woven through the song, creating a nice blend of calm vocals and airy instrumentation. The Bridge is a great song to kick off your weekend mornings.

Joce Reyome – Party Line

WATCH | Party Line:

This 3-song roundup wraps up with a banger: Party Line by Charlottetown’s Joce Reyome. It follows Reyome’s recent EP, Smoke Break. Party Line is your go-to party track this weekend, delivering a foot-stompin’ blues boogie that is sure to please. And a note for blues lovers: if you have time to check out Reyome’s new 6-song EP, you’re in for a treat with a variety of blues styles all in one place.
