close the street for a few weeks. That work will allow crews to complete the utility connections serving the new facility.

Once that work is finished, attention will shift toward completing the parking area.

“We are trying to get prepped and finalizing the trenches and all the requirements in the parking area so that we can do the final grading,” Jankowski said.

The next major step will be installing asphalt in front of the turf facility and adjacent to the auditorium.

But the parking lot is just one part of the remaining work.

Jankowski said crews are also continuing to finalize the exterior of the building. New power infrastructure is being installed next to the facility following the removal of the previous hydro lines.

Work is also continuing on floodway mitigation in the area beside the multiplex.

When asked how much work remains, Jankowski was clear that the project is not yet in its final stages.

“There’s lots of stuff to do,” he said.

The ongoing work means the site will continue to change significantly in the coming weeks as crews move from underground infrastructure toward more visible site and finishing work.

For residents watching the project take shape, the upcoming parking lot work will provide one of the more noticeable signs of progress, as final grading and asphalt installation begin to transform the area surrounding the new facility.

Meanwhile, utility connections, exterior work, power infrastructure and floodway mitigation remain part of the work still to be completed before the multiplex is finished.

The Tbaytel Multiplex site will see major changes in the coming weeks as work shifts from underground utilities…

[5
45,49,48
post-921817","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-business","tag-business","tag-ca","tag-canada
["GET
