Mortimer played Nick on Another World starting in 1996. He was the third actor to take on the role, following Justin Chambers and Kevin McClatchy. He appeared on 81 episodes through the end of the NBC soap’s 35-year run in 1999.

But of all the titles Mark held throughout his life, the two that mattered most to him were husband and dad.”

Born on April 15, 1967, in Yorkville, Illinois, Mortimer also was a co-owner of IOC Construction and helped build it “not simply as a business, but as a family.
