\n\tIt has been more than three years since Aerosmith<\/a> last rocked a stage. But on Monday (Oct. 5), singer Steven Tyler teamed up with famed rock photographer Ross Halpin to tease the Boston rock legends\u2019 planned return to the stage.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn a short video<\/a>, Tyler, 78, climbs a ladder outside the famed Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles to affix some letters to its iconic marquee, with Halfin along to help with the spelling. \u201cY H W,\u201d Halfin says in the video as Tyler shouts, \u201cGimme the O! Ampersand! Ampersand!\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDo you even know how to spell Aerosmith?\u201d Halfin wonders. \u201cIt\u2019s \u2018& Friends\u2019, Ross,\u201d Tyler snaps back. \u201cAerosmith AND friends.\u201d The tease then ends with a bit of the band\u2019s iconic 1975 Billboard Hot 100 No. 36 breakthrough hit \u201cSweet Emotion\u201d as the screen fills with the phrase \u201c& \u2026 all will be revealed tomorrow.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cDon\u2019t you miss performing?\u201d Halpin asks. \u201cOf all the things I ever missed, I miss my mind the most,\u201d Tyler responds as the two enjoy smoothies and gaze at the marquee with the dates Oct. 29 and Nov. 1 on it.<\/p>\n

\n\tAerosmith were forced to abandon their planned final outing, Peace Out \u2026 Farewell Tour, in September 2023 due to Tyler\u2019s fractured larynx, which the singer suffered just three shows into what was booked as their last road hurrah. The tour was first postponed<\/a>, then subsequently canceled and the band announced a retirement from touring<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tTyler and Perry then went on to record an Aerosmith EP with Yungblud, 2025\u2019s One More Time<\/a>, and Tyler has made a few singing appearances, including a six-song set at the annual Grammy Awards benefit<\/a> for his Janie\u2019s Fund and last summer\u2019s massive Back to the Beginning farewell concert by Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn April of this year, Perry 76, told Billboard that he wasn\u2019t quite ready to call time<\/a> on the band\u2019s live performance days. \u201cThe band is still kind of definitely not in touring mode, but there are certainly other options, so we stay in touch,\u201d he said of regular chats with \u201cmy brother from another mother\u201d Tyler.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou just never know,\u201d Perry teased about potential future Aerosmith performances. \u201cIt\u2019s just been in the last six months that Steven\u2019s started to get comfortable with singing; he literally had to take a year off before he was able to start stretching his vocal cords, and you\u2019re always worried about reinjuring it. I learned a long time ago that everything we do is fragile\u2026 so we just take it day by day. You hope for the best. You just have to have the confidence and have that vision of positive in front of you. You can\u2019t do it unless you envision it.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe band teased that the full details of the shows will be released on Tuesday morning (Oct. 6).<\/p>\n
