Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas is taking the scenic route while traveling to race for Cadillac in the Singapore Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
Bottas is biking 217 miles from Malaysia to Singapore ahead of Sunday’s race, according to BBC Sport’s Adam Millington<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Finnish driver and gravel biker has shared photos and videos from throughout the journey since departing last Sunday.<\/p>\n Bottas announced<\/a> in August he had qualified for the UCI Gravel World Championships, although the championship race overlaps with the Singapore Grand Prix. <\/p>\n He began biking on his own last Sunday just hours after the completion of the Bahrain Grand Prix in the Malaysian town of Sepang, per Millington.<\/p>\n The 37-year-old is set to arrive in Singapore in time to speak to reporters Thursday, according to Millington. <\/p>\n Bottas lost his seat with Sauber in 2025 and served in a reserve role for Mercedes before signing<\/a> with Cadillac ahead of the 2026 season. <\/p>\n Still without a point and with eight DNFs so far this season, Bottas is looking to bounce back in Singapore after spinning into gravel and retiring<\/a> on the ninth lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix.<\/p>\n
