Lethbridge, AB \u2013 The University of Victoria golf teams turned in a pair of podium finishes at the Canada West Championship, with both the men’s and women’s teams winning bronze and Cindy Koira<\/a> and Owen Croft<\/a> earning individual podium results at Paradise Canyon Golf Course.

\nCroft and Koira led the Vikes with standout performances.<\/p>\n
\n\tOwen Croft<\/a> finished as the men’s individual silver medalist at 5-under par after rounds of 71 and 66. His second-round 66 was one of the lowest rounds of the championship and vaulted him into contention for the title as he led for most of the second round.
\n\tCindy Koira<\/a> earned bronze on the women’s side, carding rounds of 74 and 75 to finish at 7-over par.
\n\tWith these impressive finishes by Koira and Croft, the pair each earned Canada West First Team All-Star honours.
\n\t\u00a0Three Vikes finished inside the top 16 in the men’s field, with Solomon Decksheimer<\/a> tying for 11th and Parker Riou<\/a> tying for 16th.
\n\tOn the women’s side, Brynne Davies<\/a> and Antonia Ho<\/a> both finished tied for 12th.
<\/p>\n
\nVictoria climbed the leaderboard with strong second-round performances.<\/p>\n
\n\tThe men’s team played under a five-count-four format, resulting in the team\u00a0posting a total gross score of +14, securing the bronze medal by six shots.
\n\tThe women’s squad competed under a five-count-three format and\u00a0comfortably finished third with a gross score of +45, winning bronze.

\nThe Vikes will return to competition on Oct. 17-19 at the BC Match Play Series #1, hosted by UBC Okanagan in Kelowna, B.C.<\/p>\n
