LAWRENCE, Kan. \u2014 The UNI women’s golf team wrapped up three rounds of competition at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational on Tuesday afternoon at Lawrence Country Club. The Panthers finished 14th out of 14 teams.<\/p>\n
UNI finished the tournament with a combined team score of 977 (+125). Kansas won the team title on its home course, shooting an 858 (+6) through three rounds. Rhianna Gooneratne earned the individual title after finishing with an overall score of 211 (-2).<\/p>\n
Jane Petersen<\/a> led the Panthers on the individual leaderboard, finishing in 58th place with a three-round score of 242 (+29). Petersen opened the tournament with a 76 before shooting an 80 and 86 in the final two rounds. She also tied for the team lead with 25 pars.<\/p>\n Right behind Petersen were Camille Wood<\/a> and Greenlee Smock<\/a>, who tied for 59th place after both shooting a 243 (+30). Wood carded rounds of 81, 79 and 83 while leading UNI with five birdies during the tournament. Smock shot back-to-back rounds of 79 before finishing with an 85 in round three. She finished second on the team with four birdies.<\/p>\n Addison Berg<\/a> finished tied for 66th place with a final score of 249 (+36), shooting rounds of 83, 81 and 85. Berg also tied Petersen for the team lead with 25 pars.
