Less than a minute later, Garry Zhang hit the right post with a shot of his own.

The momentum swung in Princeton’s direction again as the clock ticked down to halftime. Samuels, off his line, was able to deflect the incoming shot, but Zhang was there to clear it off the line for good measure.

As the game clock approached 90, Princeton fought to find a goal, with Lacher sending a left-footed shot inches wide with eight to go.

With just five to go, Roka Tsunehara sent another one even closer, before Beckwith forced one last save from Risenhoover in the 88th.

One last chance for the Tigers came in the form of a 90th-minute corner, but it would be to no avail as both sides split the points with a 0-0 final.

Of Note

Princeton outshot Hofstra 21-6, with six on goal to Hofstra’s one.
The Tigers had 11 corners, compared to Hofstra’s four.
Samuels made one save in the contest, with his GAA now improving to 0.55.

Up Next
Their non-conference schedule now concluded, it’s all Ivy action for the Tigers from here on out, with their next contest a road matchup at Columbia on Saturday.
