Jared Leto\u2019s former Air Force compound<\/a> is now in the hands of tech mogul Palmer Luckey.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMorbius\u201d star, 54, sold the unusual 14,649-square-foot Hollywood Hills property in May for $12 million after purchasing it for $5 million in 2015.<\/p>\n

Property records show the home was bought by 8935 Lookout Mountain LLC, which lists Fiendlord\u2019s Keep Inc. as its sole member\/manager.<\/p>\n

Fiendlord\u2019s Keep Inc. was founded in California in January 2016, and state business records list Luckey, 34, as its director, CEO, secretary, CFO, and sole member.<\/p>\n

Leto spent years restoring the property, which retains remnants of its peculiar history.<\/p>\n

The compound was originally built in the early 1940s as a World War II air defense center before becoming the highly classified Lookout Mountain Air Force Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n

From 1947 to 1969, the facility operated as a secret military film studio, producing and processing more than 6,500 films for the US military and other government agencies.<\/p>\n

The complex featured its own film-processing laboratories, editing rooms, and film-storage vaults to handle footage of nuclear weapons tests. <\/p>\n

The Air Force decommissioned the station in 1969, and the property was eventually converted into a private residence.<\/p>\n

The property now belongs to a tech magnate with his own military connections.<\/p>\n

Luckey is best known for founding Oculus VR and creating the Oculus Rift virtual-reality headset.<\/p>\n

He sold Oculus to Facebook \u2014 now Meta \u2014 for roughly $2 billion in 2014 when he was just 21. <\/p>\n

Luckey later founded defense technology company Anduril Industries, which has grown into a major defense contractor focused on autonomous drones, sensors and other military technology.<\/p>\n

The entrepreneur has also developed a reputation for his interest in military history and hardware; in 2024, he revealed that he owns<\/a> decommissioned underground missile silos around the country, which he hopes to collect for a future museum project.<\/p>\n

Corporate filings cited by the Los Angeles Times showed a decommissioned Atlas missile silo in New York was owned by Black Omen LLC, which was managed by Fiendlord\u2019s Keep Inc.<\/p>\n

The tech titan, pictured during an interview with Reuters last month, is most known for founding Oculus VR, which was later sold to Meta. REUTERS<\/p>\n

Luckey is also known for his outspoken political views, referring to himself as a \u201cradical Zionist<\/a>\u201d in recent years.<\/p>\n

He first drew political attention in 2016 when he acknowledged donating $10,000 to Nimble America, a pro-Donald Trump group. He left Facebook in 2017 amid the ensuing controversy.<\/p>\n

He continued supporting Trump, donating millions during the 2020 election and backing him again in 2024.<\/p>\n

His sister, Ginger Luckey, 32, married former Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, 44, in 2021.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the home\u2019s former owner, Jared Leto, has faced a fresh wave of scrutiny<\/a>. <\/p>\n

In a 2026 BBC documentary titled \u201cJared Leto: Hollywood\u2019s Dark Secret\u201d, 10 women came forward with allegations of sexual misconduct against him.<\/a> Some of the women said they were teenagers at the time.<\/p>\n

Leto has denied the claims<\/a>, saying they are \u201cabsolutely and categorically false.\u201d<\/p>\n
