It first opened its doors in 1979 and is expected to close by the end of the month.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo our regulars, neighbours, visitors, DJs and every team member who has been part of Bayside over the years \u2014 thank you. You\u2019ve made this much more than a lounge. You\u2019ve made it a place for friendships, celebrations, and memories that will stay with us,\u201d added the restaurant.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe know this news will be deeply felt by our entire bayside family. Over the coming weeks, we\u2019ll be sharing memories, celebrating our people, and welcoming you back to enjoy Bayside together. Whether you\u2019ve been coming for decades or only recently found us, we\u2019d love to see you before our final night. Come raise a glass, share a story, and help us celebrate 47 unforgettable years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Many responded to the closure announcement to share how devastated they are by the news.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is my greatest fear become reality,\u201d wrote one person.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is the most horrific news I\u2019ve heard in ages and my heart is shattered! We freaking love you!\u201d added another.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShocked and very saddened to read this. If those walls could talk. An icon in our city.
