\u201cIt was a real gritty win,\u201d Winnipeg coach Scott Arniel said. \u201cTo come off four (games) in six (days), and (the Avalanche) sitting here not having played in three or four days \u2014 we knew they were going to bring a lot of speed, we knew it was going to be a fast game. So, after battling back from 2-1 to make it 2-2, you’ve got to find a way to salvage at least a point, take it to overtime and see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

After a scoreless first period, Schwartz got a lucky break off a mishandled puck in the offensive zone to make it 1-0 Avalanche at 2:51 of the second.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe had looks,\u201d Schwartz said. \u201cTheir goalie made some big saves.
