\n\tKatseye member Sophia Laforteza will resume activities<\/a> with the group starting the first week of January 2027, according to a notice posted to their social media accounts.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cSophia has been prioritizing her health and well-being with our full support and resources,\u201d reads the note from Hybe and Geffen. \u201cWhile Sophia will not be participating in THE WILDWORLD TOUR in North America, or promotional activities for the remainder of this year, we look forward to welcoming her back as KATSEYE<\/a> continues this next chapter together in 2027.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLaforteza also posted her own message signaling her return to Katseye, thanking fans for their \u201cpatience, grace and understanding.\u201d \u201cYour kindness during this time has given me more strength than you know,\u201d she posted on her Instagram Stories. \u201cIt hasn\u2019t been easy, but I have been putting in the work by receiving the care I need, learning the tools to better support myself, and doing everything I can to nurture my well-being.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt pains me deeply that I won\u2019t be able to participate in the remainder of the tour this year,\u201d she continued. \u201cI\u2019m going to use this time to continue training and get myself to where I need to be again. As much as I wish I could simply push through, I\u2019ve come to understand that sometimes having the courage to take a step back is what allows you to move forward. My hope is to return feeling happier, healthier, stronger, more grounded, and ready to give you everything I\u2019ve been wanting to give you. I\u2019m holding onto that so tightly. I can\u2019t wait to share the stage with my sisters again and look out to all of you!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tLaforteza announced in August that she would be taking a step back from the group to prioritize her mental health and wellness. It came in the wake of member Manon Bannerman announcing her own temporary hiatus in February. The global girl group, which also includes Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel and Yoonchae Jeung, recently released its \u201cWild\u201d EP and has been on its \u201cWildwood\u201d tour, which will continue through North America through the end of November.<\/p>\n
