LANCASTER, Pa. \u2013 There was plenty of tennis on the final day of the fall season for the Franklin & Marshall men’s team. With the squad split between a home dual and road tournament at\u00a0Bloomsburg, the Diplomats gained valuable playing time ahead of the spring season.<\/p>\n
In the home dual against Penn State Berks, the Diplomats blanked the Lions in a 5-0 final. The Diplomats needed just four players to down the Lions. Daniil Lunev<\/a> and Soren Rudin-Aulenbach<\/a> started the match with a win at No. 1 doubles and later claimed wins at the respective No. 1 and No. 2 positions in the singles lineup. Aaron Kwock<\/a> and Mark Ball<\/a> followed suit at No. 2 doubles to clinch that point. Kwock won a 6-0, 6-0 match at No. 3 singles, while Ball dropped just one game in each set at No. 4 singles. With the rest of the team at Bloomsburg, No. 3 doubles and Nos. 5 and 6 singles went uncontested.<\/p>\n The Tournament at Bloomsburg saw a pair of Diplomats doubles teams go undefeated as Theo Oeltermann<\/a>\/James Parnwell<\/a> and Tucker Chesman<\/a>\/Hugh Outwater<\/a> both went 2-0 in their matches together. Samuel Donnelly<\/a>, Carlos Lana<\/a>, and Parnwell also went 2-0 in singles play. Ian Alonso<\/a> posted a\u00a02-1 mark in singles, while Marco Romano<\/a>, Stan Kunash<\/a> and Outwater each won their only singles matches played.<\/p>\n Today’s action\u00a0concludes the fall season. Men’s tennis\u00a0returns to action during the spring semester when the attention shifts to dual matches.
