\n\tCharli xcx<\/a> brought out a surprise guest during her headlining set at the Austin City Limits<\/a> Festival<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt Zilker Park on Friday (Oct. 9), Charli welcomed Tinashe<\/a> to the stage to perform two tracks from the singer\u2019s new album, Popstar, which debuted at No. 6<\/a> on the Billboard 200 in early October.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe surprise appearance was teased earlier that day on social media, when Tinashe shared a video<\/a> on her Instagram Stories of herself and Charli dancing backstage to their 2015 collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, \u201cDrop That Kitty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTinashe made the live debut of \u201cNobody Wanna Dance Anymore\u201d and performed the Popstar dance-pop standout \u201cMelatonin.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tCharli also brought out her Sweat Tour mate Troye Sivan during ACL Festival\u2019s opening weekend on Oct. 2, when he performed his songs \u201cLe Boy\u201d and \u201cParty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tFollowing their 2015 collaboration on \u201cDrop That Kitty,\u201d Charli and Tinashe reunited in 2024 for a remix of \u201cB2B,\u201d<\/a> which appeared on the British star\u2019s Brat and It\u2019s Completely Different but Also Still Brat.<\/p>\n

\n\tTinashe is celebrating a career milestone with Popstar, which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200, marking her highest-charting album to date and her first top 10 appearance on the chart.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m so unbelievably grateful, this is CRAZY! #6 BILLBOARD DEBUT,\u201d she wrote<\/a> on X following the milestone, adding a string of crying emojis and thanking fans \u201cso soooooo much\u201d for their love and support before signing off with, \u201cI\u2019m cryinggggg.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTinashe previously peaked at No. 17 on the Billboard 200 with her 2014 major-lable debut, Aquarius. Her subsequent albums Nightride and Joyride reached Nos. 89 and 58, respectively, while 2024\u2019s Quantum Baby debuted at No. 199.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe 25th anniversary edition<\/a> of ACL Festival wraps up this weekend with headlining performances by R\u00dcF\u00dcS DU SOL, Lorde, Lola Young and Young Miko on Saturday (Oct. 10), followed by closing sets from Twenty One Pilots, The xx, Geese and Sofi Tukker on Sunday (Oct. 11).<\/p>\n
