Poehling also had an assist for the Ducks (4-1-0), who won their second straight game. LaCombe, Frank Vatrano<\/a> and Nikita Nesterenko<\/a>\u00a0also scored, and Ville Husso<\/a>\u00a0made 27 saves in his first start of the season.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s always nice to start with the win,\u201d Husso said. \u201cI think we battled though all 60 minutes. A couple guys dropped from the lineup and big guys stepping in there. They battled hard, played hard, didn\u2019t give anything easy for us. We had to earn it today, so a lot of credit for our guys playing back-to-back and not giving too many good looks for them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Aydar Suniev<\/a> scored his first NHL goal for the Flames (0-5-0), who are the only team in the NHL without a point this season. Matt Coronato<\/a> had two assists, and Wolf made 24 saves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think every game we\u2019ve played this year, we\u2019ve slowly been getting better and that\u2019s the most important thing,\u201d Calgary coach Ryan Huska said. \u201cIf you get better every day and you commit to what you\u2019re supposed to do and you focus on your process and how you\u2019re supposed to handle things and what you look like when you\u2019re winning games, eventually we\u2019ll start seeing points in the win column.\u201d<\/p>\n

LaCombe scored on the power play at 10:02 of the first period to put the Ducks up 1-0. After Judd Caulfield<\/a> fanned on a pass from Leo Carlsson<\/a>, the puck went right to LaCombe, who lifted a shot over Wolf\u2019s blocker.<\/p>\n
