This has never been more true than at this moment. Premier-designate and PQ Leader Paul St-<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.ctvnews.ca\/montreal\/article\/pq-leader-accused-of-using-inflammatory-language-encouraging-moral-panic\/\">Pierre Plamondon was criticized for running on a campaign of fear <\/a>of the Other \u2014 in particular, immigrants \u2014 promising to further shut the door on people hoping to move here. He also vowed to tighten the <a href=\"https:\/\/montrealgazette.com\/quebec-elections\/bill-101-french-language-charter-cegeps-parti-quebecois\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">language restrictions on CEGEPs even more than the Coalition Avenir Qu\u00e9bec<\/a> already has, making it harder for young francophones to study in the language of their choice.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">St-Pierre Plamondon hasn\u2019t always sounded like this. He once spoke of progressive values and the future. But he has gone through a political transformation of J.D.
