Europe and the U.S. were roughly comparable 20 years ago on GDP per capita, capital-market depth and the scale of their largest companies. Since then, t<a href=\"https:\/\/econofact.org\/factbrief\/fact-check-has-the-economic-gap-between-europe-and-the-united-states-increased-in-the-past-decade\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">he U.S. has compounded growth while Europe has barely advanced<\/a> in comparison.<\/p>\n<p>Previous technology waves produced European champions. The internet wave produced almost none, with ASML (ASML) the rare exception, he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s by far and away the <a href=\"https:\/\/companiesmarketcap.com\/gbp\/european-union\/largest-companies-in-the-eu-by-market-cap\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">largest European company<\/a>. Which is, it tells you that the value is in tech,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mosley, Palantir&#8217;s executive vice president for the U.K and Europe, argued AI will be even more consequential. European corporates remain cautious, with an attitude of \u201cThis is new, that means it could be risky.
