SALT LAKE CITY – University of Houston Men’s Golf juniors Hsuan-Yi Chen and Sacha Ruiz each posted wins, but it would not be quite enough in a 3-2 loss to (10) Kansas State during the second day of the Big 12 Match Play Tournament at The Country Club on Tuesday.

Like Hsuan-Yi Chen, Ruiz used a quick start to take a 1 up win over Ville Virkkala. The Le Havre, France, native made birdie on the 171-yard, par-3 15th hole to move up to 1 up.
