Furthermore, police said, the victim is in stable condition. (Earlier story appears below)<\/p>\n<p>One person has been stabbed and the culprit is on the run after a violent lunch hour confrontation early Tuesday afternoon in the heart of Mississauga.<\/p>\n<p>Peel Regional Police said the victim, described only as a male, was rushed to hospital with serious injuries shortly after being stabbed in the area of Hurontario Street and Dundas Street.<\/p>\n<p>Police responded to the area, one of the busiest intersections in Mississauga, shortly after 12:30 p.m. A large police presence remains on the scene as investigators and other officers speak to people and canvas the area.<\/p>\n<p>The culprit, described only as a male, fled the scene on foot, police said, adding the stabbing appears to be an isolated incident.<\/p>\n<p>Motorists and others are urged to avoid the area.<\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidyard-player-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1791977056_582_FcGGRf655C9r2W4Mg1NTme.jpg\" data-videoid=\"853457\" data-uuid=\"FcGGRf655C9r2W4Mg1NTme\" data-v=\"4\" data-type=\"inline\" data-muted=\"1\" style=\"width:100%\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p>      <img decoding=\"async\" class=\"vidyard-player-embed\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/1791977058_196_WgFDqiG8Xxc2a4A7ikfFCG.jpg\" data-videoid=\"853519\" data-uuid=\"WgFDqiG8Xxc2a4A7ikfFCG\" data-v=\"4\" data-type=\"inline\" data-muted=\"1\" style=\"width:100%\"\/>    <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-818007\" class=\"wp-image-818007 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/Agnes-and-Hurontario-streets-map-re-stabbing.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1139\" height=\"677\"  \/><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-818007\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Map shows general area of a stabbing that occurred early Tuesday afternoon in the Hurontario and Dundas streets area of Mississauga.<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s violent incident comes nearly five months after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.insauga.com\/first-degree-murder-charge-for-man-accused-in-fatal-stabbing-in-mississauga\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">man was stabbed to death in an unrelated attack<\/a> in the same area of the city.<\/p>\n<p>Chay Wilson, 32, of Mississauga, was fatally stabbed during the lunch hour on May 19 in the vicinity of Hurontario and Dundas streets.<\/p>\n<p>His murder sent Peel Regional Police on a Canada-wide manhunt for the killer.
