Located at 55 Avenue Rd., Kitchen Hub is Canada’s first virtual food hall. It brings together restaurants to allow guests to order takeout from multiple brands at a time.

In Toronto, Kitchen Hub also has a location in Liberty Village at 1108 King St. W. and in Mirvish Village at 581 Bloor St. W., along with a 1121 Castlefield Ave. outpost.

As Grandma Loves You joins “one of Toronto’s most recognizable neighbourhoods,” the team is looking forward to introducing their offerings to the Yorkville community.

“We love the mix of residents, people working in the area, shoppers and visitors from all over the world,” the Davoodis said.

Grandma Loves You began in 2019 in the city’s Rosedale neighbourhood. Since then, it has grown to open Toronto locations at 111 Richmond St., 42 Wellington St. E., 901 King St. W., 40 St. Clair Ave. W. and 846 Shepperd Ave. W.

On the menu, guests will find dishes including a spicy ham sandwich and the popular chicken Caesar wrap, along with hot dogs and vegetarian options.

“It hasn’t always been easy. Building a business from scratch comes with a lot of sacrifices, long days and challenges that people don’t always see,” said the founders.

“What has made this journey so special is the love we’ve received from our community. People believed in us, supported us, brought their friends and families, and helped us grow. We never take that for granted.”

To celebrate the grand opening at Kitchen Hub, Grandma Loves You is giving away 170 free sandwiches to the first 170 people in line, starting at 2 p.m.

One sandwich will be available per person and there will also be a live DJ to help celebrate the launch.

Ready your appetites — a beloved sandwich shop in Toronto is expanding this month.
