Ferrari F1 legend Rubens Barrichello has won the NASCAR Brazil Series championship at the age of 53.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The 11-time grand prix winner, who left F1 at the end of the 2011 season after a then record 322 starts, has competed in various stock car racing championships in his home nation since, and also at the 2017 Le Mans 24 Hours in LMP2.<\/p>\n
In 2014, he won the Stock Car Brazil title, and then in 2022, added a second crown, but has now added a NASCAR title to his CV.<\/p>\n
NASCAR Brazil is an offshoot of NASCAR itself, and one of four officially sanctioned international series, including NASCAR Canada, NASCAR Mexico and the NASCAR Euro Series.<\/p>\n
Barrichello won his fourth race of the season, coming at the Autodromo Vella Citta, about 180km north of his native Sao Paulo, to claim the title.\u00a0<\/p>\n
