Sunny Hostin is taking another swipe at \u201cpetty\u201d Kelly Clarkson following the release of security footage from the Brooklyn store<\/a> where the singer claimed she was mistreated.<\/p>\n

During Thursday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe View,\u201d the ladies at the Hot Topics table discussed the newly released footage from the Tuesday episode of \u201cPablo Torre Finds Out,\u201d<\/a> with Hostin doubling down on her stance on the controversy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt seems like she kind of had a bit of a tantrum because she starts putting things back kind of quickly,\u201d Hostin, 57, said, noting that Clarkson \u201cwasn\u2019t in the store very long.\u201d<\/p>\n

Guest co-host Raven-Symon\u00e9 interjected, saying, \u201cShe was petty,\u201d to which Hostin agreed, adding, \u201cShe was a little petty.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have a huge platform, there comes a lot of responsibility with that,\u201d Hostin said earlier in the segment of Clarkson\u2019s millions of followers. \u201cI just can\u2019t imagine that she doesn\u2019t know that there\u2019s that social media mob hanging out on the internet.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe rage machine is something I\u2019m sure she has been subjected to because she\u2019s a star,\u201d the attorney continued. \u201cThe video did change my perspective a little bit.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Raven-Symon\u00e9, 40, also pushed back on the idea that Clarkson, 44, should be criticized for speaking out about her experience simply because of her large following.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it\u2019s unfair just because she had that many followers she\u2019s not allowed to express how she feels about what happened to her,\u201d the \u201cThat\u2019s So Raven\u201d alum argued, recalling how she once felt disrespected on a red carpet and fans didn\u2019t agree with her when they saw footage.<\/p>\n

While discussing the footage (seen above), guest co-host Raven-Symon\u00e9 called Clarkson \u201cpetty.\u201d Hostin agreed, saying, \u201cShe was a little petty.\u201d Pablo Torre Finds Out<\/p>\n

\u201cI would say to those watching me and to those listening to Kelly, our experience about the situation might not resonate with you the same way that it resonated with [us],\u201d she said. \u201cYou don\u2019t know my past. You don\u2019t know what I\u2019ve been through.\u201d<\/p>\n

Raven-Symon\u00e9 also pointed out that Clarkson grew up \u201cnot with a lot of money,\u201d saying, \u201cIf somebody\u2019s touching her trigger button about wealth or money, you don\u2019t know how she received that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Disney Channel alum added, \u201cI saw the video, too, and I feel like if you treated her like every other person that came into that store, then you\u2019re telling everybody they can\u2019t afford it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hostin previously said during Monday\u2019s episode of \u201cThe View\u201d that she thought the situation should have been \u201chandled privately,\u201d<\/a> adding, \u201cI don\u2019t feel great about it being on social media.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clarkson sparked a public back-and-forth with curiosity shop Art of Play in Brooklyn Heights on Saturday after taking to X (formerly Twitter) to accuse the store of treating her like Julia Roberts\u2019 character in \u201cPretty Woman.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n

However, when the business later claimed that the $15,000 mechanical bird Clarkson wanted wasn\u2019t for sale<\/a>, the \u201cSince U Been Gone\u201d singer accused the store of lying<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cOkay, cool. So you\u2019re not only rude, you\u2019re also a liar. Got it,\u201d she wrote on X. \u201cI never blast people, but you, my friend, were an exception.\u201d<\/p>\n

Art of Play later released another statement<\/a> clarifying that Clarkson had been in the store for only five minutes and describing the situation as a \u201cmisunderstanding.\u201d<\/p>\n

Co-owner Adam Rubin exclusively told Page Six that he found the saga \u201cludicrous\u201d and \u201csurreal,\u201d<\/a> describing it as a \u201che-said, she-said\u201d situation.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo she\u2019s going to say one thing, I\u2019m going to say another thing,\u201d he said. \u201cThe point of it is, nothing happened in the shop that was so dramatic that it\u2019s worth throwing a Molotov cocktail into a mom-and pop business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rubin also blasted Clarkson for what he called a \u201creprehensible abuse of power\u201d<\/a> while chatting with us.<\/p>\n
