I have to take a series of tests before I know, but \u2026 I\u2019m not allowed to drive. And I can\u2019t do performances because what the neurologist told me, every time you do a show, it\u2019s like you\u2019re getting a concussion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As we told you, Billy is currently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/09\/28\/billy-joel-auctioning-motorcycle-collection\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">auctioning off <\/a>over 70 of his motorcycles and told The Hollywood Reporter \u201cI have a condition called hydrocephalus, which makes driving a little bit iffy. So I realized it\u2019s time for me to turn it over to somebody else.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Proceeds from the sale of Billy&#8217;s bikes will go toward his organization, The Joel Foundation.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"continued\" class=\"continued-anchor\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Despite his positive attitude towards his diagnosis, Billy hasn\u2019t had the best of luck recently. Just last month, Joel lost his best friend and former bandmate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2026\/09\/07\/jon-small-dead\/\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jon Small <\/a>and gave a moving tribute to Small on his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DdHF6kvFmT_\/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link&amp;mdxt=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==&amp;srtk=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==\" rel=\"noreferrer nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Instagram<\/a>, saying \u201cLosing Jon has hit me in a way I have never experienced.
