{"id":935590,"date":"2026-10-16T20:30:15","date_gmt":"2026-10-16T20:30:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/935590\/"},"modified":"2026-10-16T20:30:15","modified_gmt":"2026-10-16T20:30:15","slug":"nba-live-updates-latest-news-and-rumors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/935590\/","title":{"rendered":"NBA Live Updates, Latest News and Rumors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">In a recent post on The Stein Line, &#8220;The People&#8217;s Insider&#8221; Jake Fischer <a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/marcstein.substack.com\/p\/the-nbas-latest-late-night-intel\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">reported<\/a> that the Lakers may be talking about a potential Dalton Knecht deal.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">And if they were able to move him in exchange for anything (literally, anything) it would beat this fall&#8217;s oft-<a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sportingnews.com\/us\/nba\/los-angeles-lakers\/news\/lakers-predicted-cut-ties-dalton-knecht-trade-48m-defensive-menace-seeking-fresh-start\/648ffe50168f21b03e06b9be?utm_source=yahoo&amp;utm_medium=referral&amp;utm_campaign=appeared_on\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">rumored<\/a> alternative: that L.A. might simply cut him.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">According to Fischer, the target may be the Milwaukee Bucks&#8217; Jericho Sims, which would make sense. As currently constructed, Kevon Looney is the only true backup center on the Lakers, and even he&#8217;s undersized. Sims would at least give the team some insurance at that position, while potentially sparing Sandro Mamukelashvili and Jarred Vanderbilt from having to play there.<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium mui-m06sf4\">Picking up Knecht would make some sense for Milwaukee too. At 25, he&#8217;s two years younger than Sims. He&#8217;d fit among a building core of 6&#8217;6&#8243;-6&#8217;7&#8243;, multipositional wings. He is, theoretically an outside shooter. Despite a down 2025-26, he still has an above-<a class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-inherit MuiLink-root MuiLink-underlineAlways MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__ui__link__medium_strong mui-mlpnpn\" href=\"https:\/\/www.basketball-reference.com\/players\/k\/knechda01.html#all_adj_shooting\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">average<\/a> three-point percentage for his career.
