The UFC heads north of the border for an intriguing card featuring 13 bouts. Picks this week include a relentless grappler looking to return to the win column, and a Monster who may just get the job done at long odds. Our betting lines come from the RotoWire MMA betting page<\/a> and are accurate as of the post date of this article.<\/p>\n UFC Predictions to Consider on DraftKings<\/p>\n The matchup between Faglier and Javad Mahjoub<\/a> will be contested between a mixed martial artist and a Judoka. The former Olympian is predictably strong when it comes to submission grappling, but Faglier has the footwork, striking, and traditional wrestling to put the pressure on his Iranian counterpart and keep him away from top position.\u00a0<\/p>\n As a low-powered, high-volume striker, Cerminara is rarely seen as a viable DFS candidate. It’s important that we make an exception here, as debutante Mackenzie Stiller<\/a> competed at strawweight in the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter and is taking this fight as a short-notice opportunity. \u00a0“Blonde Fighter” will enjoy a seven-inch height advantage here and is a strong enough grappler to easily fend off “Mack Judo’s” clinch attempts.<\/p>\n Chad Anheliger<\/a> is an underrated combination puncher who can flow with power, but he has seldom beaten superior grapplers, as he can’t help but engage in clinch sequences. I expect Koslow to take control on the ground and potentially put up a big score with control time and ground strikes.\u00a0<\/p>\n Chelsea Chandler<\/a> is more explosive than a lot of athletes in this division, but she fights recklessly off of her back foot, making it hard to trust that she can score consistently. Croden will pressure forward and utilize a nice jab to set up her takedowns, and I expect her to control this fight from start to finish.<\/p>\n As a committed grappler, You offers a nice floor as an underdog even in fights he loses, but he has a real shot to win against Cody Chovancek<\/a>, who is not as powerful or explosive as some of the fighters the South Korean has faced recently. Chovancek stands flatfooted and often needs to build his way into fights, and You will not give him an opportunity to get his boxing going.\u00a0<\/p>\n The athleticism difference between Kyle Daukaus<\/a> and Bo Nickal<\/a> was enough to freeze Daukaus out of the fight completely when the two met at the White House, and while Barriault can’t be directly compared to Nickal, he should be the more agile fighter here. We have seen “Power Bar” get routed by strong grapplers in the past, but Daukaus isn’t a suffocating wrestler, as he has never landed more than three takedowns in a UFC fight.<\/p>\n Work rate should carry the day for Blanchfield here, as she is getting better at allowing her striking to flow into her grappling. I expect the lack of activity to hurt Jasmine Jasudavicius<\/a>, as she will need to fight off intense pressure for the better part of 15 minutes.<\/p>\n At the risk of sounding cruel, I’m not exactly sure why Julien Leblanc<\/a> is getting another bite at the apple after putting up almost no resistance in a submission loss to Robert Valentin<\/a> in April. Galanti will hunt for the back of his opponent as soon as the fight hits the mat, and Leblanc’s lack of athleticism and takedown defense gives Galanti an obvious path to victory with some real submission upside.<\/p>\n Try out these recommended fighters with different lineup combinations on our\u00a0DraftKings UFC Lineup Optimizer<\/a>.<\/p>\n UFC Predictions to Consider on PrizePicks – Significant Strikes\u00a0Mike Malott<\/a> OVER 59.5 Significant Strikes and Nate Landwehr<\/a> UNDER 24.5 Significant Strikes<\/p>\n Malott fights slowly enough to be dragged into exchanges on the feet, and he isn’t the type of wrestler to rinse and repeat takedown attempts. Joaquin Buckley<\/a> will have a significant speed advantage here, which should allow him to keep his feet and stay at range.\u00a0<\/p>\n After Landwehr’s last fight with Cub Swanson<\/a>, it’s fair to wonder if “The Train” is on his way out of the sport. Landwehr looked completely flummoxed by Swanson’s pressure and movement, and Mandel Nallo<\/a> should be able to use footwork and cut angles in a similar fashion. The agility and quickness of Jourdain will put him several steps ahead while the two are in space, making a knockout likely unless Cuamba can act as a blanket for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n Kyle Nelson<\/a> Wins via KO\/TKO (+600)<\/p>\n Cristian Perez<\/a> is the rightful favorite here, but I’m keen to take a shot on an underdog who has been through wars and is facing a young fighter in Perez who is prone to being countered hard as he enters the pocket. Nelson is adept at catching opponents with big counter shots, specifically, and he will have a real opportunity to land a fight-altering strike as the two get deeper in exchanges.<\/p>\n Tanner Boser<\/a> would need to transform himself into a completely different fighter to win here, as he has yet to complete a takedown in 11 UFC fights.
