Smaller units have sold more easily in the past, but renters want larger units, McComb said.<\/p>\n \u201cWe want to make our Elizabeth development more family-oriented,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The planned unit size breakdown is 31 per cent\u00a0one bedroom, 23 per cent\u00a0one bedroom plus den, and\u00a046 per cent\u00a0two-bedroom, he said. He said there are no three-bedroom units planned.<\/p>\n \u201cIf somebody needs a three-bedroom, quite typically they\u2019re going to go look for a townhouse,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Rendering courtesy of Edenshaw Developments<\/p>\n This will be Edenshaw\u2019s first purpose-built rental development since 2016, McComb added. There is a need for more rentals in the community, McComb indicated.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s an oversupply of condominium product,\u201d he said. \u201cIt\u2019s just that condominium has been the driving force for many years, and\u00a0with\u00a0the high level of tax on condominium as well as the inventory, we shifted our focus over to rental.\u201d<\/p>\n Edenshaw has plans to add some condo-like amenities to the building, including a gym, reformer Pilates, cold plunge, infrared sauna, co-working spaces, a pet spa and an outdoor dog run.
