She is pictured holding a teddy bear that is now part of PAMA’s museum collection.

Odlum later became an amateur photographer herself. In its separate profile of Odlum, PAMA describes a lifelong Brampton resident who worked as a service representative at Bell’s Queen Street facility and photographed changes in her hometown.

Her subjects included natural landscapes and historic buildings. One personal project recorded disappearing outhouses, which she called the Privies of Peel. Her workplace scrapbooks also preserved relationships with colleagues and changes in the technology around them.

Those details give readers a useful companion to the exhibition: local photographic history includes the choices made by residents who noticed what was changing. PAMA’s online profile includes Odlum’s photograph of Inglewood’s train station, taken around 1975, alongside images of Odlum and her childhood bear.

The profile is a separate online resource; it should not be read as a checklist of everything currently installed in Cameras in Focus. PAMA’s exhibition listing does not specify a closing date.

Planning a visit to PAMA

According to PAMA’s hours and admission information, regular adult admission is $8 plus HST. Seniors and students or youth aged five to 25 pay $6 plus HST.
