{"id":938096,"date":"2026-10-18T22:16:12","date_gmt":"2026-10-18T22:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938096\/"},"modified":"2026-10-18T22:16:12","modified_gmt":"2026-10-18T22:16:12","slug":"danforth-village-arson-probe-male-suspect-wanted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938096\/","title":{"rendered":"Danforth Village arson probe: Male suspect wanted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police are searching for a male suspect who allegedly intentionally set a business on fire in Toronto\u2019s Danforth Village neighbourhood on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspected arson happened near Danforth and Sibley avenues, west of Victoria Park Avenue.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police say they were called to that area at around 6 p.m. that evening day for a fire call.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators say the suspect attended the entrance of a business, briefly stayed by the door before leaving.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cShortly after a fire starts from where the suspect leaves, causing extensive damage,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/67147\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/67147\/\">police said in a news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/10\/255ZR7Z4GZDC3MRN36AFAXD42Y.jpg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"1680\"\/>Arson suspect Danforth Village Oct. 17 A photo of a suspect wanted in an Oct. 17 arson in Toronto&#8217;s Danforth Village neighbourhood.
