Here\u2019s what it could mean for the now-protracted negotiations between the union and the automaker behind brands such as Dodge, Jeep and Peugeot.<\/p>\n<p>Why are negotiations at an impasse?<\/p>\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"h-why-are-negotiations-at-an-impasse\">Contract talks between Unifor, which represents more than 9,000 Stellantis workers, and the company broke down on Sept. 11 after the union said it was informed the automaker had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to sell its Brampton plant to armoured-vehicle maker Roshel Inc.
