{"id":938876,"date":"2026-10-19T14:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T14:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938876\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T14:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T14:04:09","slug":"graham-awarded-metro-vancouvers-north-surrey-interceptor-storage-tank-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938876\/","title":{"rendered":"Graham awarded Metro Vancouver\u2019s North Surrey Interceptor Storage Tank project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>VANCOUVER \u2014 Graham has announced it\u2019s been selected by Metro Vancouver as construction manager for the North Surrey Interceptor Storage Tank project, an initiative that will increase wastewater system capacity and help protect the Fraser River.<\/p>\n<p>According to a release, the North Surrey Interceptor is a major sewer that conveys wastewater from Maple Ridge and North Surrey to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grahambuilds.com\/annacis-island-wastewater-treatment-plant-phase-1-stage-5-expansion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Annacis Island Wastewater Treatment Plant<\/a> in Delta.<\/p>\n<p>The project includes construction of a new 10-metre-tall storage tank facility at 136 Street and King Road in Surrey. With a capacity of approximately 34,000 m\u00b3, the facility will temporarily store wastewater during periods of heavy rainfall, the release describes.<\/p>\n<p>Additional components include a new pump station, generator and fuel storage buildings, an operations yard and a rooftop air-quality system designed to manage odours.
