{"id":938978,"date":"2026-10-19T16:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-19T16:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938978\/"},"modified":"2026-10-19T16:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T16:04:09","slug":"claim-free-tickets-for-surreys-popular-bear-creek-lights-walk-thru-nov-6-20","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/938978\/","title":{"rendered":"Claim free tickets for Surrey\u2019s popular Bear Creek Lights walk-thru, Nov. 6-20"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>              Claim free tickets for Surrey\u2019s popular Bear Creek Lights walk-thru, Nov. 6-20<\/p>\n<p class=\"pubStamp\">Published 7:00 am Monday, October 19, 2026<\/p>\n<p>The 14th year of Surrey\u2019s popular Bear Creek Lights runs Nov. 6-20 as a light walk-thru event with plenty of photo-ops.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free for the \u201clargest display yet featuring 25 per cent more light displays, an expanded walking route and new opportunities for visitors to experience Bear Creek Park after dark,\u201d according to event planners with the City of Surrey. <\/p>\n<p>Free, timed-entry tickets can be reserved starting Tuesday, Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.surrey.ca\/parks-recreation\/parks\/park-programs\/bear-creek-lights\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">surrey.ca\/bearcreeklights<\/a>, or call 604-501-5100. <\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s event attracted close to 60,000 visitors for photo opportunities (look for a 40-foot Starlight Tunnel and Giant Bear), guided nature walks, storytelling, live performances on select nights and food trucks.<\/p>\n<p>Entry times are every 30 minutes from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. Drop-in visits are limited, especially weekends. Guest parking is off 88 Avenue, and admission check-in will be at the spray park entrance, just south of the parking lot at Bear Creek Park (13750 88 Ave., Surrey).<\/p>\n<p>The rain-or-shine event will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 11 for Remembrance Day.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBear Creek Lights has become a favourite Surrey tradition and one of our most popular seasonal park events,\u201d said Laurie Cavan, general manager of parks, recreation and culture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith free admission, it\u2019s a fun and accessible way for families and friends to enjoy the lights together before the holidays.
