Apple<\/a>\u00a0will host a product launch event dubbed \u201cPro and tell\u201d on Oct. 28, and analysts expect the company to introduce its first touch-screen MacBook Pro, according to multiple media reports.<\/p>\n

Greg Joswiak<\/a>, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple, said in a Monday (Oct. 19)\u00a0post<\/a>\u00a0on X: \u201cCan\u2019t wait to pro and tell next week.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joswiak shared a video of the Apple logo being drawn.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0Monday that \u201cPro\u201d hints at a MacBook Pro update.<\/p>\n

Bloomberg Managing Editor\u00a0Mark Gurman<\/a>\u00a0said in a Monday\u00a0post<\/a>\u00a0on X, referring to the video posted by Joswiak: \u201cObviously this is a finger touching a display and drawing on it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The new touch-screen MacBook Pros are expected to include a Dynamic Island interface similar to that on iPhones, a sharper display enabled by OLED technology, and M5 Pro and M5 Max chips like the current MacBook Pros, according to the Bloomberg report.<\/p>\n

The introduction of touch-screen MacBook Pros will mark a turnaround for Apple, which has long said that it\u00a0wouldn\u2019t\u00a0combine the experiences of the iPad and the Mac, the report said.<\/p>\n

Next week\u2019s event is also expected to see the launch of a new low-end MacBook Pro with an M6 chip, a refreshed\u00a0iMac\u00a0and an iPad mini with a sharper screen, per the report.<\/p>\n

CNBC\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0Monday that Apple sent invitations to the event to media and analysts in an email that said, \u201cPro and tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

The report said the name suggests a focus on Apple\u2019s Pro devices with the company\u2019s powerful chips.<\/p>\n

This will be Apple\u2019s third product launch event since John Ternus<\/a> became the company\u2019s CEO last month. It follows an event focused on the new\u00a0iPhones\u00a0and another centered on new smart home products, per the report.<\/p>\n

Reuters\u00a0reported<\/a>\u00a0on Apple\u2019s upcoming event Monday, saying that the product launches show that the company is expanding its hardware and artificial intelligence offerings.<\/p>\n

Apple and\u00a0Meta<\/a>\u00a0announced Thursday (Oct. 15) that they are collaborating to enable users to run an\u00a0open-weight frontier model<\/a>\u00a0on a desktop.
