It does not identify individual establishments or provide an itemised loss total, so the locations described should not be taken as a list of named victims.<\/p>\n<p>Police say officers located the suspect at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gotransit.com\/en\/find-a-station-or-stop\/brampton-go\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Brampton GO Station<\/a> at about 7:30 p.m. on September 24 and made an arrest. The arrest date is earlier than the October 16 public announcement; it should not be presented as an arrest that happened this week.<\/p>\n<p>Twenty occurrences and 17 listed charges<\/p>\n<p>Shane Jason Elliot, 45, of Brampton, faces 13 counts of break, enter and commit an indictable offence, and four counts of break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence, police say.<\/p>\n<p>Those listed counts total 17. Separately, police say the investigation connected 20 commercial break-and-enter occurrences. The release does not explain the difference, and the occurrence total should not be substituted for a charge count.<\/p>\n<p>Investigators say video surveillance helped them identify the accused and connect incidents. They also report seizing clothing believed to be associated with some of the occurrences. Those are police accounts of the investigation, not findings of guilt.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement supplies no court disposition or present-day custody information. It does not establish whether Elliot remains in custody, has been released or has entered a plea.
