{"id":941823,"date":"2026-10-22T08:00:09","date_gmt":"2026-10-22T08:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/941823\/"},"modified":"2026-10-22T08:00:09","modified_gmt":"2026-10-22T08:00:09","slug":"honda-celebrates-500-formula-1-races-at-united-states-grand-prix-in-austin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/941823\/","title":{"rendered":"Honda celebrates 500 Formula 1 races at United States Grand Prix in Austin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Honda will mark its 500th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.formula1.com\/en\/racing\/2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Formula 1<\/a> race at this weekend&#8217;s United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, with the Japanese manufacturer aiming to deliver a strong performance after completing preparations for the latest triple-header.<\/p>\n<p>The milestone comes as Formula 1 returns to the Circuit of The Americas (COTA), where Honda&#8217;s power units will face a combination of high-speed corners, demanding acceleration zones and significant elevation changes.<\/p>\n<p>Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) trackside general manager and chief engineer Shintaro Orihara previewed the weekend and said: &#8220;The United States Grand Prix in Austin is always a special event, with a fantastic atmosphere and passionate fans.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This year, we have the privilege of celebrating 500 races in Formula 1, which brings more excitement and pride to the weekend,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.grandprix247.com\/f1-opinion\/singapore-grand-prix-takeaways-thats-one-off-max-verstappens-bucket-list\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Singapore Grand Prix<\/a>, Honda&#8217;s power unit engineers and trackside personnel returned to the company&#8217;s HRC Sakura facility in Japan to review performance across the previous 3 races and prepare for the demanding schedule ahead.<\/p>\n<p>Orihara explained: &#8220;The Circuit of The Americas is a demanding circuit that combines fast and flowing sections with heavy traction zones.
