\n\tNobody Wants This<\/a> creator Erin Foster<\/a> is sharing her opinion on Adam Brody<\/a> recently telling GQ<\/a> he is in support of \u201ca free Palestine<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring an upcoming appearance on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, per Entertainment Weekly<\/a>, Foster was asked by host Amanda Hirsch how she felt about the actor\u2019s previous comments about the Israel-Gaza war. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cYou know, it\u2019s complicated. I think our work environment, our set is very similar to dinner tables around the world where people are having debate and discussion and disagreeing,\u201d the series creator said. \u201cWhile I love Adam, I also disagree with him, and that\u2019s okay.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI think that as the creator of the show, all I can say is that I want our Jewish fans to know that I see you and I hear you and I understand how you feel,\u201d Foster continued. \u201cAnd the show has always been and always will be a love letter to Judaism. That is why I made this show. It\u2019s because of how beautiful of an experience I\u2019ve had becoming Jewish and being a Jewish person, and sitting here right now at this time in the world where there is almost zero positive representation of Jewish people, I think it\u2019s so important to have that.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThat being said, everyone is entitled to a different opinion than me. I can just tell you what I created this show for, what the intention of the show is,\u201d Foster concluded.<\/p>\n

\n\tDuring a September profile with GQ, Brody, who appears on the Netflix series as a rabbi, discussed his political activism, and was asked if he thinks Hollywood has gotten more conservative. \u201cI guess outspokenly so, yes. \u2026 Between COVID, a second Trump term, Israel-Gaza, it\u2019s really brought out some different beliefs that I was ignorant to, and then disheartened by.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe O.C. actor was asked how Israel-Gaza has come up in his messaging, to which he responded, \u201cTruthfully, it hasn\u2019t. I have spoken a lot about it privately. I haven\u2019t spoken much about it publicly.\u201d When asked if he\u2019d like to speak about the topic, The O.C. actor said, \u201cPut me down as thinking it\u2019s a genocide. Put me down as wanting a free Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s awful that it\u2019s taken so much death and misery, but it does feel like it\u2019s reaching a breaking point that it should have a while ago,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019m hopeful that another administration can really do some good and correct some of these policies that are helping that situation be as awful as it is.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tIn an August 2025 interview with The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Foster said of the show, \u201cIt was really important to me and continues to be really important to tell positive Jewish stories. I know that it can be polarizing, but it shouldn\u2019t be. This is not the show to tackle conflict in Israel and Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m not the person to tell that story,\u201d Foster added. \u201cAnd after [the attacks on] Oct. 7 happened, there were conversations around if we were going to dive into it, and the truth is, the way that I can get my message across best is by shedding a positive light on Jewish characters and Jewish traditions. I don\u2019t think somebody watching wants to see another voice give you their opinion on what\u2019s happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tNobody Wants This<\/a> released its third season on Netflix Thursday.
